Sick

I will say this for being sick - it does wonders for getting your eating back on track. I have had no trouble for the past 5 days keeping my portions under control and making better choices. And by the time I am well again, it shouldn't be too hard to keep things going that way. And that is great. Unfortunately, I am actually watching my thighs spread out a little more each day as I haven't worked out at all in two weeks, despite the fact that the number on the scale has gone down. So the backlash is that I am really motivated to get out and exercise, only I can't actually breathe through my nose and I keep falling into coughing fits, and the only thing I can do for more than five minutes at a time without feeling dizzy is lay down. Grrrrrr - it is so frustrating. Why can't the motivation and the means come at the same time?

  1. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Having a stuffy nose sucks. At least you have something to look forward to? Getting healthy and putting on those sneakers.

Found you through TJ's test kitchen. I read that you live near Sacramento as I do.

  3. Being sick sucks - I had bronchitis (sp?!) last spring and I coughed for three weeks straight! It was so hard to get back to exercising, its amazing how quickly you can fall back!

I just found you through TJ's blog - I am running a 101 Days of Summer Challenge - basically I am doing it to help myself be accountable over the summer! So far I have 14 participants.

The premise is simple - pick a goal for the summer, whether that be hitting the pool 3 times a week, training for a 5k, or lose 5 pounds - the choice is yours! I will then do a weekly group recap on Sundays and hopefully as a group we can become each others cheerleaders!

Hope the end of school year isn't too crazy with 4 kids - yikes!
